Join artists to learn about fish art.   We will create art inspired by fish from around the world, and play the fishing game.  Part of a Family friendly day at Logan Park and the Northeast Minneapolis Gallery crawl, Art A Whirl.  Co-Sponsored by Minneapolis Institute of Art and MPRB.

The Minneapolis Pedestrian Advisory Committee is seeking applications for a new representative from the North Side.

The committee advises the Mayor and City Council on policies, programs, and actions for improving the city’s pedestrian environment.  Fifteen voting members who reside or own a business in Minneapolis serve on the committee.  Voting members are appointed by the City Council for two year terms.

The application deadline for the North Side vacancy is Friday, May 25.  However, potential applicants are encouraged to inquire about the vacancy after the May 25th deadline, in the event that the seat remains vacant after that date. Terms will begin on July 1.

Learn how to decrease your chances of being a victim of crime along with personal safety techniques at this workshop.  Representatives of the Minneapolis Police Department will be on hand with helpful information. Our black belt instructor Mary Brandl, is a self-defense and personal safety expert.
